A native of North Carolina, John attended the Naval academy and joined the Marines. Returning from Vietnam, John attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Georgia State University where he became interested in Real Estate development. Known as one of the most detail driven-driven men in the industry, Mr. Hinson had a career of over 50 years in the development business. In the early 1980’s he saw an opportunity in Miami Beach and developed the first high-rise condominium towers on the Southern tip of Miami Beach, South Pointe Towers. Later John amassed 55 acres of prime, ocean front real estate in Key Biscayne, Florida and developed the Ocean Club of Key Biscayne, one of the most successful projects in Miami’s history. More recently John concentrated on land in Georgia, South Carolina and a joint venture partnership in developing The Addison at Tampa Oaks in Tampa, Florida. John referred to himself as an old-fashioned kind of real estate guy with a strong attention to detail and work-ethic. Principals which guide North Bay Entities today.
